  • Hey there! If you are looking for a home, not just a room in a house, this could be the place for you. We are two postgraduate University of Sheffield students - one British guy doing health economics, one Brazilian studying engineering - and a British Theatre Studies graduate. We have just moved into a 4-bedroom house and need to find someone suitable to share with. It is in a quiet neighbourhood near Hunter's Bar, about 30 min walk or 10 min by bike from the university, and there are lots of bars, restaurants, parks, and other amenities nearby on Ecclesall Road. We are relatively clean and mature, and would love to share with someone who is interested in helping to make the house a friendly and easygoing environment. We have a strong preference for non-smokers, and it is important you are quiet after 10pm as we sorely need our beauty sleep. The remaining bedroom is fairly big and furnished with a double bed, small desk with chair, chest of drawers, mirror and wardrobe. The house also has a nice living room, an empty attic room that we can use for whatever we want, a shed for bike storage, and a back yard where we can plant our own herbs and veg. There is parking on the street in front of the house - I think you just need to get a resident's permit from the council. Bills are expected to be under £40 per month including 50mb internet, and if you are not a student you will also have to split the council tax with the other non-student, paying £62.50 per month each (so a total monthly cost of about £350). There is also a one-off agent's fee of £65, payable at the start of the tenancy. I think the initial contract would be up to the end of June but you should be able to extend it. Overall, we think this is a good value place - much better than most that you will find for this price. Please let us know if you are interested in having a look at the house!
