  • I am moving out of my wonderful room in Brixton due to moving in with friends and need to find a replacement tenant. Please contact me to arrange a viewing and meet the housemates! Timings The room is available now for a minimium of 5 months until 4th September - but you can stay as long as you like beyond those 5 months. The room is available now, you are able to move in whilst the official paperwork is being drafted by the landlady. As the current tenant has already moved out. Official stuff This room is offered on an official sublet basis. This means that a joint year long AST tenancy is held by the other two housemates (we are already 7 months into it), but you would be there with the landlady's express permission and a formal sublet agreement would be drafted (she is a lawyer). Location The flat is in the beating heart of Brixton, right above the Brixton village markets with amazing restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. Brixton is a super fun area to live in with great culture, diverse history and INCREDIBLE transport links. You are literally a few minutes walk from the Victoria line which is the fastet tube line and are in central London within 10 minutes, Heathrow within 45. Flat The flat has a big kitchen room and living room with tons of natural light, a bathroom with shower, bathtub and washing machine. The best thing about the flat is that we have an ENORMOUS rooftop terrace that is shared between all the flats in the block, but no-one really uses it that much, so you have pretty much free reign over it and it is just bliss in the summer. Although we are in the middle of Brixton, we are set back from the main road so you never hear noise from the nearby bars and clubs which is great! Flatmates You will be living with two lovely professionals who are in their mid twenties. One is a male consultant in the NHS and the other a female civil servant. They are both away a lot for work and the flat is very quiet during the week. In general this is a quiet, respectful household and we do not have loud noise or parties. Room This is a large double room with wood flooring and a big window which has beautiful sunsets. The room comes with a double bed, wardrobe and one built in cupboard. Desk and chair may can be negotiated if you would like to keep them! Cost The rent is £700pcm paid directly to the landlady Council tax is £35 per month Internet, water and gas/electric normally come to another £50 or so on top of that depending on how much the heating is used.
